Funny but true story… So I walked through Khol’s today to return an Amazon package as Khol’s locally accepts Amazon package returns, and I tried my best to navigate the store with Zero interruption as I was on a mission.
As I was passing the checkout cashier, who warmly greeted me when I entered, I bypassed him as I was in a hurry; I overheard a conversation with the customer he was helping once I was leaving. The customer he was helping, the customer, she didn’t remember her Khole’s PIN or password for her credit card account for her purchase. There was some sort of checkout debacle I didn’t want to concern myself with but wanted to add my 2 cents worth the advice being given.
SMH. Faceplant. – But wait, you follow the Cyber Security protocol and have a long, strong, and unique password you change every 90 days?! Of course you do!
So as I was walking out of the store after having returned my crypto mining package and overheard this conversation they were having. He was suggesting a password management system/program/app to the customer.
I had completed the things that I needed to attend to, but I thew out my brief advice as I strode past. I do have to give it to the gentleman. As a Kohl’s cashier, he was trying to impart some knowledge to a well-meaning but innocent and naive customer.
